Sophia Gatewood is Director of International Ventures and Government Affairs at Keystone International Ventures, where she engages with governments, strategic investors, and industry leaders to catalyze global investment and technology partnerships. She specializes in structuring high-impact opportunities across emerging technology, aerospace, energy, and advanced manufacturing – effectively bridging innovative companies with international capital and accelerating strategic growth.

Sophia’s career operates at the intersection of technology, national security, and diplomacy. Prior to joining Keystone, she served as the Global Counter-Drone Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation. In this capacity, she managed multimillion-dollar security programs, developed global policy frameworks for unmanned systems, and advanced U.S. technology interests abroad. She is known for cultivating strategic partnerships among aviation, defense, and foreign policy leaders while promoting U.S. manufacturers in international markets, consistently translating complex policy initiatives into actionable programs.

A recognized leader in global security and economic development, Sophia is a recipient of the U.S. Department of State Service of Excellence Award. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas Christian University and speaks Levantine Arabic.
